St. Mary’s Health System is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician (.8 FTE) to join our dynamic and collaborative Emergency Department in Lewiston, Maine.
Our recently renovated Emergency Department features:
22 modern exam rooms
Advanced, updated equipment
Emergency Medicine-trained physicians
Daily coverage from experienced PAs and NPs
Strong nursing support and interdisciplinary collaboration
You will practice in a setting where subspecialty support is readily available, including Surgery, Cardiology, Hospital Medicine, Pediatrics, Neurology, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, and Psychiatry.
Unlike many community EDs, St. Mary’s offers a separate, dedicated behavioral/mental health emergency department staffed with psychiatric nurse practitioners, specialized nurses, and support staff — along with inpatient child/adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, and chemical dependency services. This structure allows for safer, more efficient care for all patients.
St. Mary’s Emergency Department has earned Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation from the
American College of Emergency Physicians.
