Emergency Medicine Physician Author, UWorld Medical
You thrive under pressure. Now shape the physicians who'll follow you.
You've run codes, juggled a packed waiting room, and made split-second calls that changed lives. What if all that hard-earned clinical judgment could help train thousands of future physicians around the world?
At UWorld, our Physician Authors keep practicing the medicine they love while making an impact far beyond their own shifts. We're looking for an Emergency Medicine physician to join our talented team of physicians, editors, and medical illustrators to create high-quality, compelling content for our USMLE, Internal Medicine (ABIM), and Family Medicine (ABFM) Question Banks, plus exciting new products in the pipeline.
You'll bring the real-world intensity of the ED to learners everywhere, sharpen your own knowledge along the way, and enjoy a career that blends patient care, teaching, and creativity. Bonus: you'll also get a schedule that leaves room to actually recover between shifts.
The best of both worlds
As a Physician Author, you'll split your time between clinical practice and medical education. You'll work part-time in an emergency department or other clinical setting and spend the rest of your time at our corporate office in Irving, Texas. Most schedules combine 25-40% clinical work with 60-75% nonclinical work at UWorld, so you stay clinically sharp while building something that reaches far beyond one emergency department.
