    Memorial Hermann Emergency Department is seeking an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) to join our team @ Memorial City Hospital. This position is PRN opening for days, nights and weekends. The APC will perform direct patient care under the supervision of the attending physicians, with clinical practice in emergency medicine. The APC must also be able to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team. The APC will collaborate with the physicians in patient care or work under general supervision on case by case basis. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Position Key Responsibilities:

    • History and physical examination
    • Clinical information synthesis and medical decision making
    • Performance and interpretation of diagnostic testing
    • Performance of therapeutic interventions and procedures
    • Determination of patient disposition and subspecialty consultation as needed
    • Communicates effectively with patient care team members, consultants and most importantly families and children
    • Manage, monitor, and coordinate the care of multiple active patients.
    • Awareness of department flow and operations
    • Maintains appropriate records and prepares chart documentation
    • Performs within the scope of practice prescribed by licensure and certification.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Certification/Skills:

    Current Texas Licensure

    Current DEA licensure
    Current National Certification
    Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified

    Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified

    Advance Trauma Life Support( ATLS) Certified- Preferred

    Nurse Practitioner: Emergency Medicine board Certified
    Proficient in the use of medical and surgical instruments and equipment required by work.

    Minimum Education:

    Degree as Physician Assistant or Emergency  Nurse Practitioner

    Minimum Experience:

    At least 2-3 years of experience in Emergency Medicine Setting

    Work Week: Day/Evening, Weekends, Holidays
