As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Guardian Elite Medical Services, you will be responsible for providing compassionate, efficient, and high-quality pre-hospital care to patients in emergency and non-emergency settings. You will operate under established medical protocols and work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to ensure the safety and well-being of patients during transport and care. Key Responsibilities - Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls as directed by dispatch.
- Assess, treat, and stabilize patients in accordance with state and company protocols.
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities while providing ongoing care.
- Maintain and operate ambulances and medical equipment in a safe, clean, and functional condition.
- Complete accurate and thorough patient care reports and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, bystanders, and healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Participate in training, continuing education, and company meetings as required.
- Support special event medical coverage and other company initiatives as needed.
Qualifications - Current EMT certification (National Registry, Nevada State Certification, Southern Nevada Health District, or Compact State License).
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
- Valid Nevada driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving patients and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience in EMS or healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with Nevada EMS protocols and guidelines.
