Overview
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM + every other weekend (rotating days during the week)
Make a difference when patients need it most. As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech), you'll be an essential member of our fast-paced care team, working alongside Registered Nurses and physicians to help provide safe, compassionate, and efficient care.
No two shifts are exactly alike! You'll play an important role in keeping the Emergency Department running smoothly while supporting patients, families, nurses, and providers. Every interaction counts. Whether you're helping a patient feel more comfortable, preparing equipment for the next emergency, or lending a hand to a busy nurse, your work makes a real difference. Required (Upon Hire or Preferred):
Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) certification
Accepted from: Iowa Department of Public Health (IADPH), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), or Wisconsin Department of Health Services (WI DHS)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) (preferred upon hire; required within 30 days)
Required Within 90 Days of Hire:
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training
Mandatory Reporter Training (as applicable to state of practice):
Child Abuse Reporting (IA and/or IL)
Dependent Adult Abuse Reporting (IA and/or IL)
