Description

Position Overview:
  • Lead and implement best practice care models across multiple locations.
  • Investigate and resolve patient/family concerns about care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, external providers, and care teams to ensure safe, continuous patient care.
  • Monitor staffing and resources to ensure effective clinical coverage.
  • Oversee equipment, supplies, medications, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintain clinical licensure and competency; supervise and delegate appropriately.
  • Perform clinical duties as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Promote team growth through training, feedback, and succession planning.
  • Lead change initiatives, adopting industry best practices and sharing across teams.
  • Engage and motivate staff to meet organizational goals.
  • Translate business strategy into tactical plans for clinical units.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and manage performance metrics.
  • Oversee administrative functions: budgeting, HR, safety, quality, training, and regulatory readiness (including TJC).
  • Lead 24/7 care operations, emergency preparedness, and resource coordination.
  • Drive cross-functional improvement projects focused on quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Maintain legal and regulatory compliance (Nursing Practice Act, TJC, federal/state regulations).

Required Qualifications:
  • 5 + years in patient care delivery.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • 5 7 years of nursing experience (emergency or leadership experience a plus!).
  • Active RN license in Maryland.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
