Embroidery Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
Location: Largo, FL
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Position Overview
The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for operating multi-head computerized embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered products. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Use computer systems to retrieve artwork, log into and out of orders, and transfer orders to the next production stage.
- Upload digitized embroidery files into embroidery machines.
- Select the correct logo rotation and machine settings for each item.
- Input thread color sequences according to production specifications.
- Hoop garments and other products using the appropriate hoop while ensuring proper alignment and placement.
- Monitor embroidery production to ensure designs are placed accurately and meet quality standards.
- Inspect products throughout the production run and identify defects or quality concerns.
- Make machine adjustments as needed, including tension adjustments, needle changes, needle centering, and bobbin checks.
- Follow all sharp object safety protocols and maintain awareness of workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to bend, lift, and move boxes weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards and production quotas.
- Ability to understand written instructions and communicate effectively with department leads and team members.
- Previous embroidery or printing experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
