$76.15/hr Position Summary
- Design, develop, and maintain software that operates directly on hardware systems.
- Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of embedded systems.
- Support development of embedded firmware and wireless communication solutions with a focus on RF/Sub-GHz/Z-Wave technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware.
- Integrate software with embedded hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on system design and troubleshooting.
- Support wireless communication implementations and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain bootloaders and firmware update systems.
- Implement and support firmware security features.
- Contribute to firmware architecture, testing, documentation, and software lifecycle processes.
- Bachelors degree.
- Strong experience with:
- Embedded C
- Bare-metal firmware
- RTOS-based firmware
- ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
- Interrupt-driven architectures
- DMA, timers, watchdogs, GPIO, UART, SPI, and I2C
- Bootloaders and firmware update systems
- Debugging using J-Link, SWD, and GDB
- Low-power firmware design
- Experience with wireless communication technologies, including:
- RF
- Sub-GHz communications
- Z-Wave
- Experience with:
- Z-Wave
- Proprietary sub-GHz protocols
- Mesh networking
- Low-power wireless sensor networks
- RF coexistence
- OTA firmware updates over wireless
- Ability to:
