To achieve these ambitious goals, we're expanding our team and looking for talented engineers like you to be part of this journey You will be part of a team that owns the software-defined networking (SDN) dataplane stack that powers EC2 networking across diverse industries like Machine Learning, Cloud Gaming, Health, Fintech, and Video Streaming. Our networking stack implements features such as elastic network interfaces, firewalls (security groups), routing, monitoring, and HW acceleration where we continuously push the bounds on performance. We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in System Software / Embedded software, Cloud Computing, and Networking to join our VPC Dataplane team. This role will span multiple technology areas, providing an opportunity to innovate across a variety of platforms and systems. With the extensive network and access to Principal, Sr. Principal and Distinguished Engineers across EC2, AWS and Amazon, you are surrounded by talent that will provide you opportunities to grow your skills and knowledge. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities Own the end-to-end design, scoping, implementation, and integration testing of new features that run on the EC2 Nitro System. Design and build secure and scalable services to enable monitoring, diagnostics, and automated recovery. Design and build next generation hardware/software validation platforms that enables efficient CI/CD. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and define requirements, design system architectures, and implement robust and scalable solutions. Continuously improve development processes, tools, and automation to enhance productivity and quality. Mentor junior engineers with scoping, design, and developing scalable and maintainable code.
