Required Qualifications: Embedded Software Engineer - ADV
- Bachelors degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
- Experience in Systems Engineering and/or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes, functional decomposition, and interface management.
- Experience developing and maintaining system-level requirements and specifications.
- Hands-on experience with engineering tools for requirements and documentation management.
Position Summary: Embedded Software Engineer - ADV
Job Title: Sr. Systems Engineer
- Supports the complete product lifecycle from concept and requirements definition through architecture, integration, and validation.
- Ensures development of technically robust, reliable, and compliant system solutions.
- Focuses on embedded, connected, and electro-mechanical HVAC products.
- Collaborates with global teams across hardware, software, controls, and validation disciplines.
Responsibilities: Embedded Software Engineer - ADV
- Define and manage system and subsystem requirements using INCOSE systems engineering principles.
- Develop and maintain functional and interface specifications for control systems, sensors, and communication interfaces.
- Define and document system modes, states, and control logic for various operating scenarios.
- Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and verifiable through structured reviews and validation.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and test teams to support design alignment and integration.
- Manage requirements traceability, issue tracking, and change control using JIRA and Confluence.
- Support system integration and validation through testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Contribute to end-of-line testing, commissioning, and diagnostic strategies.
- Participate in design and technical reviews to ensure compliance with product and system requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, templates, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications: Embedded Software Engineer - ADV
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Masters degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of embedded control systems and communication protocols including CAN, RS-485, BLE, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi.
- Familiarity with HVAC controls, energy management, or smart home systems.
- Exposure to connected product ecosystems, OTA updates, and telemetry frameworks.
- Knowledge of the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook and ISO 15288 standards.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
