This role will focus heavily on dSPACE-based validation environments, ECU testing, test automation, and system-level verification. The engineer will work with embedded software and hardware, troubleshoot integration issues, and improve validation efficiency and test coverage through automation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and maintain HIL/SIL verification test plans for embedded control systems and ECUs.
  • Configure, operate, and troubleshoot dSPACE and Vector-based HIL test benches and validation environments.
  • Develop automated test scripts, data collection tools, and reporting solutions using Python and C++/gtest.
  • Perform system-level verification, defect analysis, debugging, and root-cause investigation of software/hardware integration issues.
  • Develop and execute validation tests using dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, CAN/J1939, and Vector tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience required; internships do not count toward the experience requirement.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL/SIL validation and embedded software verification.
  • Strong experience with the dSPACE toolchain and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with Python automation and C++/gtest for testing and verification.
  • Experience with CAN/J1939 communication protocols and Vector tools, including CANoe and/or CANalyzer.
  • Experience with ECU integration, system-level verification, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, perform hardware setup, and troubleshoot HIL/SIL test environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with UDS diagnostics, fault injection, and validation reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, version control, and test automation framework development.
  • Strong understanding of embedded controls, ECU validation, and hardware/software integration.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Why This Role?
This position offers hands-on exposure to both HIL and SIL verification and validation for advanced embedded control systems. The engineer will work directly with dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, automation frameworks, and production software while gaining exposure to the complete virtual validation lifecycle. The work directly supports product quality, reliability, and major engineering program commitments.
