    Description

    Randstad Digital is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Application Engineer for an opportunity in Greensboro, NC. This consultant will work closely with software development teams, system architects, validation engineers, product owners, and vehicle integration teams to investigate software and vehicle-level issues, support software deployments, validate system functionality, and drive rapid issue resolution. This role requires hands-on experience with embedded software integration, vehicle electronics, sensors, diagnostics, and system-level troubleshooting. The ideal candidate combines automotive software knowledge with a solid understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, sensor and camera integration, software configuration management, and vehicle variant structures. The consultant should be capable of independently analyzing complex system interactions, performing root cause investigations, and supporting software integration activities from development through vehicle validation.

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field.
    2-5 years of experience in automotive embedded systems, vehicle electronics, software integration, system validation, or ADAS development.
    Strong understanding of vehicle communication networks including CAN, Ethernet, LIN, and UDS diagnostics.
    Experience using CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, Wireshark, or similar analysis tools.
    Experience with software configuration management, software baselines, and release processes.
    Working knowledge of C/C++ and Python.
    Experience with JIRA or similar defect management tools.
    Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
    Ability to work independently and quickly become productive in a fast-paced engineering environment.
