Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Email Marketing Specialist for a hybrid, direct-hire opportunity with their digital marketing team in Richardson, TX. This individual will take ownership of email marketing initiatives designed to engage existing customers and prospects, support customer retention and acquisition, and drive promotional activity.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Journey Builder and Email Studio, as well as experience with Klaviyo. This role combines email strategy, campaign development, marketing automation, content creation, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
The majority of the role will focus on email marketing, with occasional involvement in broader digital marketing initiatives such as website content updates, campaigns, promotions, and SMS communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the organization's email marketing channel, including related SMS/text communications.
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns from strategy through deployment and optimization.
- Build targeted, personalized, and automated email campaigns based on audience needs and business objectives.
- Serve as a hands-on administrator and advanced user of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder and Email Studio.
- Build and manage email campaigns, reusable templates, content, automations, and audience journeys within SFMC.
- Utilize Klaviyo to support email and customer engagement initiatives.
- Manage email marketing programs supporting customer retention, acquisition, engagement, and promotional objectives.
- Develop and optimize audience segmentation, list management, data extensions, and automated customer journeys.
- Partner with marketing, sales, creative, analytics, and technical teams to execute integrated campaigns.
- Support communications related to product launches, promotions, and other marketing initiatives.
- Write, edit, and proofread marketing content, including emails, newsletters, landing page content, promotional materials, and other digital communications.
- Develop email marketing strategies focused on improving engagement, open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and other relevant KPIs.
- Monitor email performance and develop recurring reports highlighting KPIs, trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with analytics and technical teams on data integrations, audience segmentation, automation, and lifecycle/triggered campaigns.
- Support customer re-engagement and activation initiatives across email and other digital channels.
- Assist with website content updates through a content management system as needed.
- Support other digital marketing projects, campaigns, and promotions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional email marketing experience.
- Significant hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
- Advanced experience with Journey Builder and Email Studio.
- Experience with Klaviyo or a comparable email marketing/automation platform.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation, list management, email deliverability, and marketing automation.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS and general email design/development principles.
- Strong understanding of email marketing analytics and campaign performance metrics.
- Demonstrated experience using campaign KPIs to optimize marketing performance.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience with SQL or data querying.
- Experience supporting large-scale customer or ecommerce marketing programs.
- Experience working with customer lifecycle, retention, acquisition, or promotional marketing.
- Experience working with direct-to-consumer, field-based, or distributed sales organizations.
- Experience working with complex customer databases and marketing automation environments.
