    Description

We"re looking for an Email Marketing Manager to join our Events Email team. You"ll own the end-to-end build and delivery of email campaigns for our global event programs from the moment a campaign is briefed through to building it in our marketing automation platform, quality-checking it, launching it and reporting on how it performed. If you"re the kind of person who gets a kick out of a flawless send going out on time to the right audience, in the right language, with every link working, you"ll fit right in. Come build the email campaigns behind some of the world"s largest cloud technology events, reaching millions of customers across the globe.

This is a hands-on role for someone who"s both the strongest Marketo practitioner in the room and a sharp marketer. You"ll turn campaign plans into high-quality, localized, compliant emails that go out across multiple regions and time zones, partnering closely with campaign managers, content, localization, and platform teams. You"ll also help raise the bar on how we build, test, and quality-check email at scale.

    What you"ll bring:

Deep hands-on expertise in a marketing automation platform (Marketo / Adobe Marketo Engage)

A sharp eye for detail and calm under tight launch deadlines

Strong understanding of email compliance (consent, suppression, regional tracking rules) and deliverability

Experience building and QA-ing localized email across multiple markets

Clear communication and the ability to juggle many campaigns and stakeholders at once

    Key job responsibilities

Build, test, and launch email campaigns and automated journeys in our marketing automation platform including audience segmentation, dynamic content and reusable templates.

Own email quality before launch: run quality reviews and live send tests, and make sure every email renders correctly, all links are live, and the send meets our standards and compliance rules.

Manage the full lifecycle of each email, from intake through build, localization, review, deployment, and post-send reporting keeping sends on schedule across regional launch windows.

Apply consent, suppression, and regional tracking requirements, and protect sender reputation through list hygiene and bounce management.

Coordinate and quality-check multi-language versions of each email so specs and content standards hold in every market.

Build and improve reusable templates and modules that let the wider team create emails faster and with fewer errors.

Partner with campaign, content, and platform teams to translate requirements into technical build specs on short timelines.

Report on performance by send and audience and turn the results into recommendations that improve engagement.

Troubleshoot build, rendering, deliverability and data issues, and work with vendors and engineering on fixes.

Manage multiple campaigns and stakeholders at once while meeting agreed service levels and flagging risk early.

    A day in the life

No two days look the same there"s always an event on the horizon. You might start by reviewing how an overnight send performed in another region, then build the next campaign in the automation platform: audience, localized content, and logic. Midday, you"ll quality-check a teammate"s email before launch and give it the green light. In the afternoon, you"ll turn a new brief into a build plan, coordinate translated versions, or troubleshoot a deliverability issue with the platform team. and you make sure they land at the highest quality

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
