We’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Email Designer to join our growing 1r creative team. This role is ideal for someone who understands both strong visual design and performance-driven marketing, with the ability to create engaging, conversion-focused email experiences for eCommerce brands. We’re looking for someone excited to grow alongside us, contribute strategically, and become a long-term creative partner within the agency. As an Email Designer, you’ll collaborate closely with strategists, copywriters, and developers to design visually compelling and mobile optimized email campaigns that align with brand standards and business goals. You should have a strong understanding of email best practices, visual hierarchy, responsive design, and customer engagement.
Design high-performing email campaigns, flows, and templates or retention and lifecycle initaitives
Create responsive, mobile-first email designs in Figma
Build and manage email campaigns within marketing platforms like Klaviyo
Design and optimize:
Promotional campaigns
Welcome series
Abandoned cart flows
Post-purchase emails
Winback campaigns
Product launches
Seasonal and retention campaigns
Translate marketing briefs, copy, and brand guidelines into polished visual layouts
Maintain brand consistency across all email communications
Collaborate with copywriters and strategists to improve conversion rates
Create supporting visual assets using creative programs like Figma, Photoshop, Jitter, After Effects, and Illustrator.
Optimize email layouts for usability, readability, and performance across devices and inbox providers
Support A/B testing initiatives and iterate on designs based on campaign performance
Stay current on email design trends, UX best practices, and platform capabilities
Prepare organized design files and assets for development or implementation teams
2+ years of experience in email design, digital design, or retention marketing
Strong portfolio showcasing email marketing and campaign design work
Advanced proficiency in:
Figma
Klaviyo
Adobe Photoshop
Familiarity with motion design, GIF creation, or lightweight animation
Strong understanding of typography, layout, spacing, hierarchy, and responsive design
Knowledge of email marketing best practices and customer journey flows
Experience designing for eCommerce, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands is considered an asset
Familiarity with email platform limitations and rendering considerations
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Understanding of HTML/CSS for email design is a plus
Experience with design systems and component libraries in Figma
Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously, with the ability to adapt creative execution to distinct brand identities while maintaining efficiency, and organization across a fast-paced volume of work.
Understanding of email analytics, CTR optimization, and conversion-focused design
Knowledge of accessibility email optimization
Experience with AI tools such as Claude Design
Clean, visually engaging emails that elevate brand presence
Strong collaboration across creative and marketing teams
Consistent on-time delivery of campaigns and flows
Thoughtful, conversion-driven design decisions
