Elevator Superintendent

Location: Houston, Texas Employment Type: Full Time

A growing elevator contractor is seeking an experienced Elevator Superintendent to oversee field operations, installations, and crew performance across multiple active projects in the Houston area. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage teams, schedules, and jobsite quality with minimal oversight.

• Oversee daily field operations for elevator installation and modernization projects

• Supervise mechanics, apprentices, and subcontractors

• Ensure all work meets code, safety standards, and project specifications

• Coordinate scheduling, manpower, materials, and equipment

• Conduct jobsite inspections, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions

• Maintain communication with project managers, clients, and field teams

• Support project planning, progress tracking, and quality control

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, state regulations, and company safety policies

• 5+ years of elevator installation, construction, or modernization experience

• Prior leadership or superintendent experience strongly preferred

• Strong understanding of elevator systems, hoistways, wiring, and mechanical components

• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical documents

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills

• Valid elevator license (or ability to obtain one in Texas)

• Clean driving record and ability to travel to job sites across Houston
