Elevator Mechanic - Maintenance
DC Metro Area

For the seasoned Elevator Mechanic who thrives on operational freedom and professional respect, this isn't a standard "box-checker " role. This is an opportunity to be a route specialist and project consultant. We are an agile, independent leader in the elevator industry that successfully challenges our competitors by prioritizing field expertise over corporate bureaucracy.

Why This Position Is Different
  • Maintenance Mastery: A dedicated service-focused role with no modernization or construction distractions.
  • Strategic Input: You aren't just turning a wrench; you'll conduct site surveys for prospective contracts, using your field insight to shape project scopes and reliability forecasts.
  • Operational Agility: Direct access to decision-makers who value your time and technical opinion.
  • Growth Potential: Ideal for those with a construction or installation background looking to transition into a more strategic, high-trust maintenance role.
Primary Functions
  • Route Ownership: Oversee a dedicated portfolio of equipment with a focus on preventative care and safety compliance.
  • Diagnostic Excellence: Rapidly identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Technical Consulting: Partner with leadership to evaluate equipment condition for upcoming construction bids and maintenance proposals.
  • Lifecycle Management: Recommend proactive repairs to maximize equipment longevity and client satisfaction.
Professional Requirements
  • Credentials: Valid, active Elevator Mechanic Licensure (Mandatory).
  • Experience: 3+ years of dedicated maintenance experience is preferred; a background in new construction or heavy installation is a significant plus.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to manage a route independently with minimal supervision.
  • Communication: Comfortable articulating technical needs to both clients and internal management.
We Are Seeking Professionals Who:
  • Default to ownership and proactive problem-solving.
  • Have the diagnostic "sixth sense " to catch issues before they cause downtime.
  • Prefer a nimble, high-growth environment over a rigid corporate structure.
  • Take pride in representing a boutique firm with a top-tier reputation.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Highly competitive hourly rates reflective of your experience level.
  • Company service vehicle.
  • Stable, localized routes with respected boundaries.
  • Health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, and retirement options.
