DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Elementary World Language Teacher to join our dynamic team
and inspire young learners through language and cultural exploration. The ideal candidate will bring
creativity, enthusiasm, and a strong foundation in language instruction to our K-5 classrooms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a valid Michigan teaching certificate with the appropriate World Language endorsement
- Demonstrated proficiency in both English and the target foreign language
- Familiarity with Michigan's K-12 World Language Standards and benchmarks
- Ability to integrate technology and differentiated instruction into the classroom
- Competency in student management and supervision
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver engaging foreign language instruction (Spanish, French, or other approved language) to
elementary students
- Design age-appropriate lessons aligned with Michigan World Language Standards
- Foster cultural awareness and global citizenship through interactive activities
- Assess student progress using formative and summative tools
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and participate in school-wide initiatives
- Maintain regular communication with families and support staff
- Participate in professional development opportunities that are aligned with the district and
school's mission, vision and goals
