The Elementary PreK (GSRP) Preschool Classroom Assistant will provide assistance to the PreK/Y5 teacher, according to ZPS and grant requirements, in order to provide quality instructional service for the children enrolled in the PreK/Y5 braided program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the PreK/Y5 teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in the classroom.
• Assist the PreK/Y5 teacher in all activities, programs, and preparation as defined in the GSRP Implementation Guide.
• Ability to perform set-up and maintenance of a warm, inviting environment.
• Follow all licensing requirements as set forth by the state of Michigan.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Child Development Associate (CDA) is preferred.
• Experience working with preschool children is preferred.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday during student calendar

35 hours per week

Compensation:

PREB-Level 1 Non-Certified $14.31 - $16.76

PREB-Level 2 Certified $15.74 - $18.42
