JOB TITLE: Elementary- Instructional Coach WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO: Campus Principal PAY GRADE: Teacher

DEPT/SCHOOL: Assigned Campuses DAYS: 187 + extra days

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Instructional Coach shall report to the principal of the school and assist the principal in the organization, administration, and supervision of the instructional programming at each school and will assist/guide teachers to improve student academic performance in all areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Preferred Master's Degree

  • Valid Texas teacher's certificate

  • Leadership experience in staff development, curriculum and assessment

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of successful teaching experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in content, curriculum development, student learning, test analysis, mentoring, and professional development as demonstrated by an advanced degree, advanced training and/or career experience

  • Instructional expertise demonstrated through model teaching, team-teaching, video presentations, and student achievement gains

  • Excellent communication skills and an understanding of how to facilitate growth in adults
