    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    The Instructional Coach supports student achievement by enhancing instructional programming aligned with district goals. This role collaborates with campus and district staff to align curriculum, support teacher development, and analyze student data to improve outcomes. The coach works closely with teachers to strengthen instructional practices, provide job-embedded professional development, and support differentiation to close achievement gaps. Additionally, the role includes leading professional learning aligned with district initiatives and partnering with curriculum and instruction teams to ensure the effective implementation of academic programs.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Certification/Experience

    • Teacher certificate in appropriate content (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies) and Grade configuration (Elementary/Intermediate OR Secondary)
    • Five years of experience as a successful classroom teacher
    • Proven increases in student achievement and proficient teacher evaluation scores
    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Master's Degree preferred

    Special Knowledge and Skills

    • Thorough knowledge of current curriculum, instruction, and assessment best practices.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
    • Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with others and coach towards improvement.
