Maarif School is accepting applications for a full-time Elementary School Teacher at our Bloomfield, New Jersey campus.
We are seeking a dedicated, qualified, and enthusiastic educator who creates a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate will support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth through effective instruction, meaningful learning experiences, and strong communication with families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
- Teach core elementary subjects, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Establish classroom routines and maintain a positive, respectful learning environment.
- Assess student learning, monitor progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide additional support or enrichment.
- Integrate educational technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom expectations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration on curriculum planning and school initiatives.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
- Support students’ character development, independence, and well-being.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field required.
- Appropriate New Jersey elementary teaching certification required.
- Previous elementary school teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of elementary curricula and child development.
- Ability to design engaging lessons and differentiate instruction.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning resources.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families, colleagues, and administration.
- Commitment to student achievement and the school’s mission.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
