INTERNAL POSTING Katonah -Lewisboro School District Announces the Following Anticipated Vaca ncy For the 202 6-2027 School Year Elementary General Education Teacher - Kindergarten Long Term Substitute Increase Miller Elementary School Hours: Full-time, Temporary , 7-hour day 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Anticipated Start Date: October 13 , 2026, through on or about November 27, 2026 Qualifications: • NYS Certification in Elementary Grades 1-6 & B-2 Responsibilities: • Exhibits knowledge of NY State Standards. • Fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes the social and emotional well -being of students and nurtures a sense of belonging. • Collaborates and communicates with colleagues, parents, and administration to best meet the needs of students. • Utilizes current educational research to inform instructional practices. • Implements culturally relevant practices into instruction ensuring that lessons reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all students. Salary : Long -term substitute teachers work 30 days or more but less than five months and are compensated $110/day for the first 30 days; on the 31st day (assuming the prior 30 days were consecutive workdays) the daily rate is increased to $3 21.38, retroactive to the first day of the assignment.
