Canyon Hills Community Church is seeking an experienced and passionate Elementary Director / Pastor to lead and grow a thriving elementary ministry focused on helping kids and families become more and better disciples of Jesus Christ. This leader will provide vision, strategy, care, and oversight for elementary ministry programming while building and equipping volunteers and staff in a highly relational, team-oriented environment.

About Canyon Hills Community Church

Canyon Hills Community Church is a vibrant, multi-generational church in the Seattle metro area with more than 5,000 people attending weekly services and over 200 Life Groups meeting throughout the week. The church exists to make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ and highly values investing in the next generation. 

The Kids Ministry currently serves approximately 750 children across five weekend services and continues to grow. The ministry is committed to:

Position Summary

The Elementary Director / Pastor will provide leadership and oversight to elementary ministry staff, volunteers, programming, and special events. This person will help create engaging and memorable discipleship experiences that connect kids and families to Jesus while building strong volunteer teams and healthy ministry systems. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Elementary Ministry staff and volunteer teams
• Provide vision, strategy, and leadership for elementary-aged ministry
• Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteers and teachers
• Oversee elementary ministry programming and special events including camps and seasonal ministry experiences
• Create engaging, creative, and biblically grounded environments for children
• Support and partner with parents in discipling their children
• Develop ministry goals and implement strategies for growth and evangelism
• Manage and administer the Elementary Ministry budget
• Collaborate closely with church leadership and family ministry staff
• Help carry out the overall mission and vision of Canyon Hills Community Church

Qualifications

• Growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Alignment with the theology and mission of Canyon Hills Community Church
• Proven leadership experience in children’s ministry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead teams, manage systems, and oversee ministry execution
• Bachelor’s degree in Bible, ministry, or related field preferred
• Willingness to become a member of Canyon Hills Community Church upon hire 

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 annually
