Elementary Day Treatment Mental Health Practitioner

Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Mental Health Practitioners work collaboratively with Fernbrook team members and community partners to coordinate care and support positive client outcomes. Key Responsibilities Deliver skills-based mental health services to children, adults, and families through individual, family, and group interventions.Build positive therapeutic relationships that support client growth and progress.Utilize culturally responsive and evidence-informed approaches to meet client needs.Meet established productivity and billable service expectations.Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.Participate in clinical supervision and seek consultation when needed.Attend team meetings and actively engage in professional development opportunities.Complete 30 hours of mental health-related continuing education every two years.Collaborate with Fernbrook staff, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners.Represent and uphold Fernbrook's mission, values, and commitment to quality care.Follow agency policies, procedures, and ethical standards.Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, observe, listen, and work on a computer for extended periods.Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 pounds. Schedule & Work Environment Flexible work schedule, generally between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.Regular travel is required to client homes, community locations, Fernbrook offices, schools, and other service settings.Salaried employees typically work 40 to 43 hours per week, with additional hours as needed to support client care.Hourly employees may work up to 40 hours per week; overtime requires supervisor approval. Qualifications Required Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record for community-based service delivery.Ability to pass a criminal background study in accordance with agency and Minnesota Department of Human Services requirements.Must meet one of the following: Current Minnesota statutory requirements for a Mental Health Practitioner, orCurrent Minnesota statutory requirements for a Clinical Trainee. Preferred Experience providing services to children, adults, and families.Bilingual or multilingual skills.Experience working in community-based behavioral health settings.
