PGS Worldwide is seeking Electronics Test Technicians in Oldsmar, Florida for one-year onsite contract-to-hire roles supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies in a fast-paced production environment. Opportunities are available on both first and second shift.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent with specialized technical training comparable to an associate-level technical program, or equivalent demonstrated technical experience.
- At least 1 year of direct experience testing electronic assemblies.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies to the component level.
- Proficiency troubleshooting solid-state and digital circuitry.
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry.
- Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment, including digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Flying Probe, In-Circuit Tester, and/or high-power test experience.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and other data-collection systems to accurately document maintenance and test activity.
- Ability to use hand tools and small power tools.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume production environment.
- Ability to work required overtime.
Preferred Skills
- RF troubleshooting experience.
- Digital circuitry troubleshooting experience.
- Flying Probe operation experience.
- Familiarity with radar systems.
- Experience performing vibration and thermal environmental stress screening on circuit card assemblies or subassemblies.
- Experience using network analyzers, frequency standards, signal generators, or similar electronic test equipment.
- Military electronics maintenance or backshop repair/troubleshooting experience, particularly involving circuit cards, subassemblies, or Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
What You’ll Do
- Set up test equipment and perform testing of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies.
- Conduct tests according to established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
- Troubleshoot failures to the component level using schematics and electronic test equipment.
- Isolate faults in analog and digital circuitry.
- Adjust and calibrate electronic assemblies and test systems.
- Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts and components.
- Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, frequency standards, signal generators, and other measurement equipment.
- Analyze test results to evaluate product and equipment performance.
- Support development and improvement of test methods and test equipment.
- Assist engineers with development of test procedures for new products.
- Recommend product or manufacturing-process improvements when appropriate.
- Support quality verification and process-control activities.
- Accurately document test, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance actions.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Full-time onsite in Oldsmar, Florida.
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM ET.
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM ET.
- Approximately 10 hours of overtime per week may be required.
Pay
- $22.00–$35.00 per hour.
- Overtime eligible after 40 hours.
