JOB TITLE: Electronics Test Technician
LOCATION: Oldsmar, FL 
PAY RATE: $32/hour

Summary: 

  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassembly units following established procedures, standards, and specifications

  • Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications

  • Adjust and calibrate electronic assembly systems as required

  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts/components as directed

  • Use hand tools, small power tools, and measuring/testing equipment to perform job duties

  • Determine appropriate testing methods and recommend modifications to testing equipment

  • Analyze test results to evaluate product and equipment performance

  • Assist engineers with the design and development of test procedures for new products

  • Recommend product improvements and manufacturing modifications

  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process and other quality control procedures

  • Troubleshoot to the component level using schematic diagrams to isolate failures in analog and digital circuitry

  • Apply strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry

  • Work in a dynamic production environment while maintaining high productivity to meet customer schedules

  • Operate and interpret data from measurement devices, including:

    • Digital Multimeters (DMMs)

    • Oscilloscopes

    • Network Analyzers

    • Frequency Standards

    • Signal Generators

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/combined education

  • Additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical associate degree preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical or para-engineering tasks

  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience testing electronic assemblies

  • Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state and digital circuits

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other data collection programs to accurately document maintenance actions

  • Experience with Flying Probe or In-Circuit Tester (ICT) equipment

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with radar systems and the ability to troubleshoot RF circuits

  • Vibration and Thermal ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) experience with circuit card assemblies and subassemblies
