PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Technician in Ventura, California for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support engineering hardware fabrication, electrical troubleshooting, testing, and laboratory operations.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience with electronic assembly and electrical testing.
- 4+ years of electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair experience.
- Experience fabricating electronic/electrical chassis and mechanical rack assemblies.
- Ability to work from development engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical issues with engineers, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders as required.
Preferred Skills
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience supporting engineering development laboratories.
- Experience with prototype or low-rate hardware fabrication.
What You’ll Do
- Fabricate electronic and electrical chassis using engineering drawings.
- Assemble mechanical racks and related hardware.
- Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.
- Support engineering hardware development and laboratory activities.
- Assist with setup, testing, and evaluation of prototype hardware.
- Work directly with engineers, customers, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain organized and safe laboratory work areas.
