The Electronics Technician performs electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical testing, troubleshooting, repair, and documentation activities on KMC Controls products, assemblies, subassemblies, and components. The position supports product quality, manufacturing performance, engineering investigations, and the resolution of production or customer-returned product issues.

LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL, AND REASONING SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, correspondence, drawings, schematics, and test procedures; document findings; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group settings. Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratios, and basic algebra as needed for testing and analysis. Ability to apply practical and technical reasoning to diagnose problems involving multiple variables and determine appropriate next steps.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of the position. While performing the job, the employee regularly sits; uses hands and fingers to handle components, tools, controls, and test equipment; reaches with hands and arms; and communicates with others. The employee is frequently required to stand or walk and may remain standing while operating certain equipment. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to inspect small electronic components and solder connections.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in an electronics laboratory and manufacturing environment.
The employee may work near moving mechanical equipment and may occasionally be exposed to soldering fumes, flux, cleaning agents, or airborne particles.
Appropriate engineering controls and personal protective equipment must be used as required.
ESD protective practices are required in designated areas.
The noise level is generally moderate.
