    Description

    Finish Line Staffing is partnering with one of our valued clients to hire an experienced Electronics Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electrical assembly background who enjoys building, wiring, and troubleshooting custom control panels in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Build and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies according to customer specifications.
    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, bills of material, work orders, and specifications.
    • Drill and tap holes to mount electrical components and create openings for wiring and instrumentation.
    • Complete point-to-point wiring and install electrical components including:
      • PLCs
      • Relays
      • Switches
      • Indicator lights
      • Additional control devices
    • Assemble finished panels and install completed assemblies into cabinets and enclosures.
    • Utilize hand tools including wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, drills, and other assembly tools.
    • Perform basic fabrication tasks such as deburring, grinding, and sawing.
    • Red-line documentation as needed to support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
    • Move materials throughout the facility using manual pallet jacks.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Work overtime as needed to support production schedules.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience building and wiring electrical control panels.
    • Experience with point-to-point wiring.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
    • Understanding of electrical currents and electrical assembly principles.
    • Experience drilling, tapping, and assembling electrical panels using a variety of hand tools.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with control panel installation.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Highly motivated with a commitment to producing quality work.
