Position Summary The Electronics Repair Technician is responsible for testing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electronic and automation equipment for both company inventory and customer-owned equipment.

Position Summary

• The Electronics Repair Technician is responsible for testing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electronic and automation equipment for both company inventory and customer-owned equipment. This position also assists with the design and construction of diagnostic equipment and the configuration or customization of drives and related equipment based on customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair incoming inventory.
• Diagnose and repair customer-owned equipment.
• Design and build diagnostic components and test equipment as needed.
• Build, configure, or customize drives and related equipment for customer applications.
• Follow established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures.
• Participate in training and continuing education to expand technical and repair capabilities.
• Monitor and maintain an appropriate inventory of parts and supplies needed for repair operations.
• Meet productivity, quality, and performance goals established by management.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience with drive repair, industrial electronics, electrical work, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and safe work practices is preferred.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Ability to occasionally climb or use ladders while working with inventory or equipment.
• Ability to frequently move, lift, or handle boxes, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to communicate information and instructions clearly and effectively.
• Ability to safely work with electrical and electronic equipment.
