Akkodis is seeking an Electronics Lab Technician for a Contract job with a client in Palo Alto, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electronics testing, circuit board modification, prototype fabrication, and laboratory support, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems in a fast-paced development environment.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $36/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Electronics Lab Technician Job Responsibilities Include:

• Perform circuit board modifications including component rework, soldering, de-soldering, and repair activities to support development and validation testing.

• Build, modify, and maintain specialized test equipment, including test boxes, wiring assemblies, test harnesses, and laboratory fixtures used in engineering and validation environments.

• Execute functional acceptance testing of circuit board assemblies and power electronic systems by following established test procedures and documenting results accurately.

• Setup, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies, digital multimeters, and related electronic instrumentation with minimal supervision.

• Support server rack assembly, cable management activities, and installation of equipment including KVM devices, PDUs, network switches, and associated infrastructure hardware.

Desired Qualifications:

• A technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent hands-on engineering technician experience.

• Demonstrated experience supporting electronics laboratories, engineering development environments, prototype builds, or electronic manufacturing operations.

• Strong experience performing circuit board assembly, component-level troubleshooting, soldering, de-soldering, and electronic rework activities.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, technical documentation, and manufacturer product datasheets.

• Experience operating electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, digital multimeters, power supplies, and other laboratory instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting development and validation testing of high-voltage automotive electronics, power electronics, battery systems, or related technologies.

• Experience building and maintaining server racks, structured cabling systems, networking equipment, and related infrastructure components.

• Knowledge of high-voltage safety practices, electrical safety procedures, and laboratory safety standards.

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, and other engineering documentation and collaboration tools.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
