The Electronics Equipment Technician II provides technical support on a daily basis in a training or functional environment for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) supporting the National Airspace Systems (NAS). This position conducts preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, system installation, removal and configuration, troubleshooting, reporting inventory and quality management system support. This position is 100% on-site in Oklahoma City area and must be able to obtain the required FAA Public Trust Clearance.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain a FAA Public Trust Clearance for access to facilities, equipment and property.
High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) and a minimum three (3) years relevant experience; or a Associates degree and a minimum of two (2) years or relevant experience.
Possess a high degree of electronic knowledge.
The Technician will aid senior technicians with the maintenance and repair of FAA Academy's Educational Audio/Visual Technology systems. This includes, but is not limited to, Instructional System classroom computers, configuring network switches, A/V routers, and ATV (Academy Television) Carts. Assist in setup and teardown of Video Teleconference equipment. Assist in the programming, removal, and installation of Electronic Door Locks in support of the FAA Academy. Technician must have basic electronic skills and knowledge to troubleshoot simple electronic circuits. Required to build and repair cables for interconnection between audiovisual components. Must have basic Computer skills. The Technician will need good communication skills and a willingness to resolve all customer issues.
Candidate must possess: Basic Computer Skills; Audio/Visuals experience; Cable Building and Testing experience.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Applies comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
Applies judgement to the planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments, as well as provide familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits.
Performs testing utilizing Oscilloscopes, Digital volt/ohm meters, and other test equipment.
Performs fact finding and analysis, as required, to address a single activity or a routine problem, and apply established procedures where the nature of the system, feasibility, computer equipment, operating system and programming language have been decided.
Conducts research on routine user problems and solve them by modifying the existing system when the solutions follow clear precedents.
Assists higher level technicians and provide guidance to lower level technicians.
Automation: Computer software, hardware, and networking system training and experience utilizing computer operating systems such as Solaris, AIX, Linux, Unix, and Windows. NAS Automation systems include: Enroute Automation System (EAS), Enroute Communications Gateway (ECG), Display System Replacement (DSR), and Tower Simulation System (TSS). Terminal systems include, Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS), STARS Elite, Runway Status Lights (RWSL), Fiber Optics.

The estimated pay range for this role is $21.07 to $30.28, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
