    General needs of the company

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design, build, test, validate, and optimize electronic systems, PCBAs, and components.

    • Design, build, test, validate, and optimize electrical harnesses and wiring.

    • Rapid prototyping and iteration of electric/electronic components and electric harnesses.

    • Work with suppliers to resolve technical challenges ensuring product meets safety and quality standards.

    • Identify applicable off-the-shelf electronics/electrical components and support procurement efforts.

    • Integration and assembly of electrical components and electrical harnesses into prototype chassis.

    • Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions in real-time.

    • Collaborate with software engineers on setting requirements for designing electronics components.

    • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, work instructions, and process validation reports.

    • Develop tooling, harnessing form boards, testers, and quality control plans for electric harness assembly.

    • Partner with the engineering team to ensure manufacturability of electric/electronics components and assemblies.

    • Partner with design, quality, and supply chain teams to support production and ensure seamless transitions from prototype to full scale production.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Exceptional understanding of materials used in electrical systems, harness, and PCBA manufacturing, including wire types, connectors, crimping, epoxies, PCBA design considerations and electrical components.

    • 10+ years of hands-on experience with soldering, wire crimping, connectors, prototyping, rework techniques, and building electrical harnesses.

    • 10+ years of electronics, electrical, and PCBA experience.

    • Experience with CAN and signal electric harnesses.

    • Highly experienced with electrical and power distribution high voltage systems, wiring, integration, safety (60-800Vdc).

    • Hands-on experience with electronics assembly and prototype development.

    • Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy.

    • Experience setting up and running tests and experiments.

    • High proficiency in electronics design software and ability to create production documentation for suppliers.

    • Ability to read, interpret and work from drawings, schematics, assembly procedures and work instructions.

    ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Battery design, BMS, and charging.

    • Automotive EV powertrains and high voltage charging systems.

    • Experience with brushless electric motors.

    • RC models, drones, and UAV building.

    • Software programming.

    • Ability to work with CAD software (Solidworks).

    • Hands-on mechanical skills.

    • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

    • Must be willing to travel supporting team efforts during demonstrations, fairs, and supporting customers.

    • Must have a valid non-commercial Class C driving license.

    • Must be eligible for employment in the United States and willing to work onsite at Jetson HQ California.
