804 Technology is currently looking for an Electronics Design Engineer for a Contract job opportunity located in Fort Worth TX. The Electronics Design Engineer is responsible to assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft. Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to test and troubleshoot avionics / electrical modules or systems. Model and simulate electronic circuits using SPICE software. Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software. Modify and maintain programmable logic designs in FPGAs and CPLDs. Job Responsibilities
Job Description: Electronic Design Engineer
- Assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft
- Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to test and troubleshoot avionics / electrical modules or systems
- Model and simulate electronic circuits using SPICE software
- Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software
- Modify and maintain programmable logic designs in FPGAs and CPLDs
- Prepare engineering certification reports to document system designs that meet the requirements of certification authorities
- Prepare functional test documents to verify proper operation of electronic assemblies
Qualifications
Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in analog and digital circuit design
- Software programing experience with C programming language
- Desired knowledge of control systems and embedded processor design
- Design Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and Verilog or VHDL
- Familiarity with the application of aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461) or similar industry standards.
- At least 2 years of experience in Electronics Engineering or related field
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Electrical Engineering.
- Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
- Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
