    Description

    Job Responsibilities:

    To oversee all aspects of the Electronics Department: to establish/maintain efficient and effective circulation of merchandise through the implementation and constant refinement of the processing system; to assign and distribute work; to oversee employee performance; to train, develop, and lead department staff; to work closely with Store Management and the Visual Merchandiser to brainstorm ideas for store improvement; order merchandise from vendors for store stock. Expected to act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) 3-4 shifts per week to supervise and direct staff assignments and interactions with customers to ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.

     

    Job Requirements:

    ·       Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills. Customer Service requires patience, kindness, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with diverse communities and customer needs.

    ·       Ability to lead and inspire, delegate, and oversee employee performance.

    ·       A diverse love of electronics, video games, and software.

    ·       Strong “electronics knowledge”, awareness of market trends, and a desire to actively expand knowledge by reading newsletters about the electronics/video game industry and retail and using social media as a resource to gain knowledge and insight.

    ·       Ability to assist with inventory management, product culls, and overall store maintenance.

    ·       Must be able to communicate effectively and be a highly organized individual who can handle multiple priorities.

    ·       The ability to ask for clarification and/or assistance when needed.

    ·       Able to adapt to a flexible working schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

    ·       Cash handling and basic math skills.

     

    This is a full-time position (minimum of 32 hours per week), and must have Open Availability to work on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and be able to work 5 shifts per week.
