J-TEC is looking for a full-time Electronics Assembly Specialist to join our team!
As an Electronics Assembly Specialist, youll play an important role in building and testing the products our customers rely on. Youll perform a variety of electronics assembly tasks, including circuit board assembly, wiring, soldering, and subassembly testing. Youll work from production drawings, procedures, and established workmanship standards to ensure every product meets J-TECs quality expectations.
What Youll Be Doing
Perform military- and commercial-grade hand soldering on through-hole and surface-mount circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic assemblies
Complete electronic and mechanical assembly tasks in accordance with production drawings, procedures, and military workmanship standards
Perform repair and rework operations as needed
Apply paint and circuit board conformal coating using the paint booth
Inspect your own work to ensure it meets production drawings, documented requirements, and workmanship standards
Make product changes or modifications based on documented changes or verbal instructions
Complete production tasks accurately and on schedule
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all company safety and quality guidelines
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality according to your assigned schedule
Perform other duties as needed to support the team and production goals
What Youll Need
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Proven experience in electronics assembly or a related field
Experience with wiring and soldering circuit boards and electronic components
Basic knowledge of electronic components, equipment, and circuitry
Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, and written procedures
Ability to use basic hand tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise, repetitive work
Ability to see and distinguish colors and perform close-up work, including the visual demands required for soldering and detailed assembly
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods
Ability to wear required hearing protection and a respirator while working in the paint spray booth
Preferred Experience
Experience with high-volume, low-pressure (HVLP) spray painting
Experience applying circuit board conformal coating
Schedule
This is a full-time, MondayFriday position, typically scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional second-shift and/or weekend hours may be required based on production needs.
