Job Title: Electronic Technician Trainee

Overview/Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, testing, and repair of electronic and electromechanical equipment (e.G., rotary control units)
- Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers) to troubleshoot issues
- Assemble and build components such as bearing packs
- Conduct testing (including flow loop testing) and basic programming tasks
- Support failure investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work within assigned workstation areas and rotate tasks periodically
- Maintain production targets and support equipment turnaround efficiency
Required Skills:
- Minimum: 2 years relevant experience, or equivalent education (2-year technical degree in electronics technology) / military maintenance background
- Ability to use: multimeters, basic hand tools, oscilloscopes and measuring devices
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate business systems
- Basic understanding of electronics and some mechanical aptitude
Preferred:
- Experience with rotary steerable or similar oilfield equipment.
- Soldering experience (ISO certifications a plus but not required)
Work Environment:
- Industrial shop/maintenance base environment (exposure to oil, grease, mud, and field-returned equipment)
- Not a lab or clean room
- Requires wearing coveralls and appropriate PPE
