About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to prevent and limit loss to the bank on a variety of consumer card products. This role will handle incoming customer calls and questions regarding debit, credit, and corporation cards and setup and provide maintenance related to Commerce Bank consumer card products.
Essential Functions
Review account activities, and provide reporting and product changes
Minimize risk to the Bank and ensure compliance with Visa, MasterCard, and federal regulations
Monitor several centralized email boxes and various systems to respond to customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
Provide high touch customer service that reflects empathy and a positive attitude when responding to customer's questions and requests via phone/email
Adhere to all internal controls to mitigate risk
Serve as a backup to other positions in the department
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Basic knowledge of association and federal regulations
Basic analytical, initiative, independent thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and escalate issues as appropriate
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
Education & Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
1+ year banking operations experience required
Experience within the credit/debit card industry preferred
Hybrid Schedule: In office 2 days per week
Level of role is determined by knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
