Motive Workforce is seeking an Electronic Repair Technician for a manufacturer of power testing instruments and automated test systems. Its equipment supports applications across aerospace, automotive, battery, renewable energy, medical, and other industries.
In this role, you will diagnose, repair, calibrate, and test electronic instruments, including AC power sources, DC power supplies, and electronic loads. You will work with the Service Repair Manager to evaluate equipment performance, identify the cause of failures, and determine warranty status.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electronic instruments to the board or component level using schematics, equipment specifications, and electrical principles.
- Complete repairs, calibrations, and final testing within an 8–10-day repair goal.
- Recreate customer setups to investigate equipment issues and confirm proper operation.
- Apply AC power theory to diagnose problems with power testing instruments.
- Perform instrument calibrations using established methods and requirements.
- Support parts inventory, material planning, and daily repair operations.
- Track repair performance and help improve turnaround times and quality.
- Follow up on technical issues and communicate findings with the service team.
- Maintain a clean, organized lab and follow established electrical safety and quality procedures.
