Electronic/Electrical Engineer, Battery-Electric Locomotive Systems

Responsibilities

• Support electrical system design and architecture for battery-electric locomotives
• Develop schematics and low-speed PCB layouts for control systems
• Design wire harnesses, cable routing, and electrical interfaces for high-reliability applications
• Develop and integrate embedded controllers using STM32 or similar platforms
• Implement CAN Bus, Ethernet, Modbus, I2C, and SPI communications
• Support electrical systems operating at 1,500V DC and above
• Apply EMC and EMI mitigation techniques within high-voltage systems
• Conduct system and subsystem testing, including automated test development
• Integrate controllers and embedded systems with mechanical and software teams
• Support Linux-based system configuration and embedded software integration
• Partner with production engineering on DFM and production optimization
• Troubleshoot electrical integration and test issues during prototype builds
