Electronic Design Engineer

Summary:

Location: Fort Worth

Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development, design, testing, and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft.
• Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to test and troubleshoot avionics/electrical modules or systems.
• Model and simulate electronic circuits using SPICE software.
• Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software.
• Modify and maintain programmable logic designs in FPGAs and CPLDs.
• Prepare engineering certification reports to document system designs that meet the requirements of certification authorities.
• Prepare functional test documents to verify the proper operation of electronic assemblies.

Requirements:

• Proficient in analog and digital circuit design.
• Software programming experience with C programming language.
• At least 2 years of experience in Electronics Engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills:

• Desired knowledge of control systems and embedded processor design.
• Design experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and Verilog or VHDL.
• Familiarity with the application of aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461) or similar industry standards.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Electrical Engineering.
• Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
• Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
