Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or an Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing, electronics assembly, cleanroom, semiconductor, or related technical production experience required.
- Experience with cable assembly, harness assembly, soldering, testing, inspection, or troubleshooting preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions.
- Basic computer skills and experience using manufacturing documentation systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Duties
- Assemble electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Perform wiring, cable harness assembly, hand soldering, component installation, and equipment setup while maintaining quality and production standards.
- Operate manufacturing and semiconductor assembly equipment to support processes such as die attach, lead bonding, testing, marking, sealing, and packaging.
- Conduct helium leak testing, module testing, subassembly testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation to complete assembly and testing activities accurately.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and production team members to resolve issues, improve processes, and meet production goals.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms for assembly, wiring, testing, and inspection tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and move materials as needed.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, crouch, grasp, push, pull, and safely use ladders.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work around manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, chemicals, and varying noise levels.
- Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities.
