The SA - Digital Automation Systems Operator works within designated Service Advantage Partner locations as the on-site Systems Operator. Operates and supports a variety of Partner-sold equipment at customer locations, generally within a specific geographic area. The role operates Modular Control Systems, Partner Structure, and client systems while managing priorities and performance of automation systems in daily activities. Provides technical expertise, follows Partner-agreed Standard Operating Procedures, works with the Partner Support team to proactively identify issues, and maximizes automation system output, efficiency, and operational performance.
Provide front-line operational support for client automation, robotic, 3D printing, workstation, and technology systems.
Operate automated systems, software-based control systems, electrical and mechanical systems, and structures.
Provide hands-on support using electro-mechanical aptitude and computer skills, including familiarity with Linux and command line.
Communicate and interact directly with client vendor partners.
Support client key performance indicators, maximum system uptime, and overall customer satisfaction.
Perform system software updates according to recommended client technical instructions.
Troubleshoot and operate client systems and remediate issues to maintain high-level system performance.
Collect and analyze data, apply a systematic approach to reach conclusions, and make appropriate decisions.
Perform diagnostics, installation, mapping, induction, removal, configuration testing, and commissioning of client automation systems.
Support robotics systems by troubleshooting and performing service and preventive maintenance on customer-developed robots.
Assist with building and assembling parts as needed to keep robotic systems operational.
Demonstrate required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level assignments.
Complete technical training on client systems as assigned.
Review technical information related to supported systems and products.
Work with the Partner Support team to proactively identify issues affecting operations and system performance.
Demonstrate a positive influence and champion within the team and organization.
Proactively seek opportunities for process and operational excellence.
Perform other duties related to Partner Support as assigned.
Associate degree, four-year apprenticeship, or equivalent experience or training in Robotics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical fields.
Hands-on electro-mechanical experience is required; automotive technician experience and robotics experience are preferred.
Experience with automated systems and software-based controls.
Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems.
Technical skills including familiarity with Linux, Java, XML, SQL, and database administration.
Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs.
Industrial PC literacy and regular computer skills.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects and workloads.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
Highly self-motivated, customer-centric, and focused on team success.
Professional appearance and behavior and ability to serve as a role model.
Excellent working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices, automation systems, and technology applications.

Ability to push, pull, and move objects on wheels up to 400 pounds and lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise.
Ability to work variable shifts and overtime as required to meet Partner needs.
Overnight travel may be required to attend or provide training for vendor-specific equipment and devices.
Some local driving in the area is required.
