Electro-Mechanical Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a
Temporary Electro-Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, modification, wiring, and repair of test platforms, fixtures, cable assemblies, and related electromechanical equipment.This hands-on role will work from engineering schematics, drawings, and work instructions to fabricate and modify prototype and production test hardware. The ideal candidate has strong soldering, cabling, and electromechanical assembly experience and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble test platforms, test fixtures, cable assemblies, and related electromechanical hardware.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and assembly documentation.
- Build, route, fabricate, and terminate wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering specifications.
- Perform soldering of PCB components, connectors, and wire terminations.
- Modify and rework assemblies using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Install and integrate electrical and mechanical components, including connectors, relays, switches, sensors, and related hardware.
- Assist engineering teams with prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and equipment modifications.
- Inspect completed assemblies for workmanship and compliance with engineering requirements.
- Document assembly changes and communicate fabrication or quality issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following established quality and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous electromechanical assembly or technician experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience soldering electronic components, connectors, and wiring assemblies.
- Experience fabricating and terminating cables and wire harnesses.
- Strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools, including wire strippers, crimpers, drills, screwdrivers, and measuring devices.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
