Role snapshot (Grand Prairie, TX)
Join our client’s operation as a key contributor who both assembles production equipment and operates pouch-making and packaging lines. You’ll help ensure products meet strict quality standards while maintaining a safe, 5S-ready floor.
Core impact
- Operate production equipment safely, following SOPs and GMPs.
- Meet hourly/daily production goals without compromising quality.
- Conduct pre-, in-, and post-run inspections and log data in real time.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S.
- Report equipment, quality, or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with changeovers, cleaning, and routine production tasks.
- Cross-train to support both pouch making and packaging areas.
Pouch making & packaging—what you’ll do
- Set up and run moist pouch-making equipment according to specifications.
- Load raw materials accurately per production plans.
- Monitor machines and make approved operating adjustments.
- Execute quality checks: pouch weight, seal integrity, moisture, dimensions, and appearance.
- Remove defective products from the line to protect quality.
- Support machine changeovers, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
Assembly & maintenance responsibilities
- Assemble and build machines per specifications and blueprints.
- Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on production equipment.
- Leverage warehouse experience to manage inventory and materials.
- Carry out framing and mechanical assembly as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Operate and maintain packaging machines to sustain throughput.
- Collaborate with the team to hit production deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in machine building/assembling.
- Strong electrical repair ability.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
- Familiarity with framing and mechanical assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Experience with packaging machines is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Clear communicator and strong team player.
