Build the hardware that safeguards critical missions

At Kform, we turn advanced concepts into reliable, field-ready systems for defense technology companies, established corporations, and government customers. Our vertically integrated operation—engineering, machining, fabrication, electronics assembly, system integration, test, and supply chain—moves programs from prototype to production with rigor and speed.

We value craftsmanship, precise documentation, and a relentless focus on reliability. If you lead from the front and take pride in disciplined execution, you’ll feel at home here.

    Role overview

As the Electromechanical Assembly Team Supervisor, you’ll guide a crew of Level I and Level II technicians building complex mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical products for mission-critical applications. You’ll set priorities, remove roadblocks, coach the team, and personally dive into builds—ensuring everything is assembled safely, correctly, on time, and to spec.

    A day in the life

    • Kick off the shift by sequencing work against production schedules, material status, and technician skill sets.
    • Roll up your sleeves to assemble, integrate, inspect, and test builds—mechanical hardware, wiring, cable routing, connectors, enclosures, and full system integration.
    • Translate drawings, schematics, BOMs, work instructions, travelers, and specifications into clear tasks for the team.
    • Mentor technicians on workmanship, tool use, torque control, safety, and process compliance; provide constructive feedback and evaluate performance.
    • Track work-in-process, surface constraints, and coordinate with production leadership to maintain flow and hit milestones.
    • Verify use of approved tools, materials, fixtures, torque settings, and documented processes.
    • Lead in-process and final inspections for configuration, dimensions, hardware installation, workmanship, and product completeness.
    • Drive functional testing, troubleshooting, rework, and repair using approved procedures and equipment.
    • Resolve build issues—drawing discrepancies, component fit, materials, tooling, or process gaps—and log nonconformances with corrective actions in partnership with Engineering and Quality.
    • Support prototypes and NPI, then harden methods for repeatable production: refine work instructions, fixtures, tooling, and processes.
    • Maintain airtight records: travelers, labor entries, material usage, serial numbers, inspections, and test data.
    • Ensure identification, configuration control, and traceability; segregate and handle conforming/nonconforming materials properly.
    • Monitor performance, rework, productivity, and schedule adherence; escalate risks and propose improvements.
    • Champion efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment without sacrificing quality or compliance.
    • Keep workcells clean, organized, and safe—practice good housekeeping and 5S.
    • Enforce Kform’s quality, safety, cybersecurity, export-control, and controlled-information procedures; protect customer data and hardware.
    • Pitch in on adjacent manufacturing and production tasks as needed.
