    Description

Electrohydraulic Installation Specialist – Truck-Mounted Equipment

Step into a hands-on build role where craftsmanship meets problem‑solving. You’ll outfit heavy-duty truck chassis and aerial devices with complete hydraulic and low‑voltage electrical systems, bringing complex assemblies to life on our fast-paced production floor.

A day in the build bay

You roll up to a new chassis, review the schematics and blueprints, and plan your routing. By mid-morning, you’ve mounted the PTO and reservoir, plumbed hoses, fittings, valves, cylinders, and filtration, and started wiring 12‑volt circuits for generators and power connections. After lunch, gauges and meters come out for pressure and flow tests. You calibrate, commission the system, and chase down any leaks, shorts, or unexpected noise in the circuit. Before handoff, you fabricate a bracket the design calls for, record your test data, tidy the bay, and sync with engineering on a small improvement for the next unit.

    What you’ll build and do

    • Install hydraulic assemblies: pumps, valves, cylinders, reservoirs, PTOs, hoses, fittings, actuators, and filtration
    • Assemble, wire, test, and debug electrical systems and components (12V, generators, power connections)
    • Interpret hydraulic schematics, electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
    • Execute pressure/flow tests, perform calibration, and run system start‑ups
    • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical faults
    • Fabricate and mount hardware/brackets to support installs
    • Use hand, power, and pneumatic tools; soldering gear; gauges; and test instruments
    • Document installations, test results, and repairs with accuracy
    • Work safely, keep a clean/organized area, and collaborate with engineers, teammates, and supervisors

    What you bring

    • 2–5 years in hydraulic installation, electrical assembly, equipment maintenance, or related manufacturing
    • Exceptional troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
    • Fluency reading hydraulic and electrical schematics
    • Knowledge of industrial wiring, automotive electrical, and hydraulic components
    • Comfort using diagnostic and testing equipment
    • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a build team
    • Preferred: forklift and overhead crane experience
    • Plus: CDL Class B (or willingness to obtain)
    • Preferred: technical degree, vocational program, or apprenticeship
