Electro-Mechanical Technician I Pay Range $25-$30/Hour
Electro-Mechanical Technician II Pay Range $28-$32/Hour

Start Time 7 AM.

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician II, you'll work alongside Engineering to build, integrate, test, and improve sophisticated scientific instruments from prototype through production. No two projects are exactly alike, and you'll have the opportunity to work across multiple technologies while continually expanding your technical capabilities,

What You'll Do
As an Electro-Mechanical Technician II, you'll help transform engineering designs into finished instruments that are ready for customers around the world.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assemble complete electro-mechanical systems from engineering drawings, bills of material, and work instructions.
  • Integrate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and instrumentation components into finished products.
  • Perform precision soldering, wiring, cable fabrication, crimping, and mechanical assembly.
  • Perform functional testing and document results before product release.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and integration issues while working closely with Engineering.
  • Support prototype builds and new product introductions.
  • Help improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • Maintain the high standards of quality and craftsmanship that define every product.
Approximately 80% of this position is hands-on assembly and integration, with approximately 20% focused on testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys building things correctly, solving problems, and continuously expanding their technical capabilities.
Required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience assembling electro-mechanical equipment, scientific instrumentation, or similar technical products.
  • Demonstrated ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical work instructions.
  • Experience with soldering, crimping, cable fabrication, hand tools, power tools, and digital multimeters.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Preferred
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent formal technical training.
  • Experience with scientific instrumentation, calibration, prototype development, or low-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
