    Electro-Mechanical Technician III/IV

    Location: Clifton, NJ

    Schedule: 4-Day Workweek – Four 10-Hour Shifts
    Hours: 40+ Hours/Week + Overtime Opportunities
    Salary: $35.00–$50.00/hour, based on skills, experience, and qualifications

    Position Overview
    We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician III/IV to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize industrial production equipment.

    This is a hands-on industrial maintenance role requiring strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. The technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, minimize downtime, and support a safe and efficient production environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    •  Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems. 
    •  Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify root causes with minimal supervision. 
    •  Read and interpret: 
      •  Electrical schematics 
      •  Wiring diagrams 
      •  Ladder logic 
      •  P&IDs 
      •  Mechanical drawings 
    •  Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and control wiring up to 480V three-phase. 
    •  Maintain and troubleshoot: 
      •  Motors 
      •  Motor controls 
      •  VFDs 
      •  PLCs 
      •  Sensors 
      •  Control panels 
      •  Electrical circuits 
    •  Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on: 
      •  Industrial washers 
      •  Dryers 
      •  Ironers 
      •  Conveyors 
      •  Boilers 
      •  Compressors 
      •  Pumps 
      •  Other production machinery 
    •  Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, compressed-air, steam, and boiler systems. 
    •  Repair and replace pumps, valves, cylinders, bearings, belts, chains, and other mechanical components. 
    •  Document maintenance activities, work orders, parts usage, and equipment history using CMMS. 
    •  Follow OSHA requirements and safety procedures, including LOTO and arc-flash safety. 
    •  Participate in safety inspections and continuous improvement initiatives. 
    •  Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend reliability improvements. 
    •  Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, renovations, expansions, commissioning, and capital improvement projects. 
    •  Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues. 
    •  Provide guidance and on-the-job training to less experienced technicians when needed. 
    •  Maintain equipment according to manufacturer specifications and maintenance standards. 
    •  Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance equipment. 
    •  Work at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions when required. 
    •  Occasionally travel between facilities as needed.

    Qualifications & Requirements
    •  Minimum 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience. 
    •  Must be at least 18 years of age. 
    •  Associate degree, technical diploma, or trade certification in: 
      •  Electro-Mechanical Technology 
      •  Industrial Maintenance 
      •  Industrial Electronics 
      •  Mechatronics 
      •  Related technical field 
    •  Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered. 
    •  Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. 
    •  Experience with: 
      •  AC/DC motors 
      •  Motor controls 
      •  VFDs 
      •  Control panels 
      •  480V three-phase electrical systems 
    •  Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment. 
    •  Ability to read and interpret ladder logic. 
    •  Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings. 
    •  Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, compressed-air, and boiler systems. 
    •  CMMS experience preferred. 
    •  Knowledge of LOTO procedures and NFPA 70E electrical safety standards. 
    •  Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
    •  Good communication and organizational skills. 
    •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
    •  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    •  Ability to work in industrial environments involving heights, confined spaces, varying temperatures, and outdoor conditions.

    Work Environment
    This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position in a fast-paced production environment. The role requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working around operating machinery.

    The technician may also work at heights, in confined spaces, outdoors, and in varying temperatures. Strict adherence to safety procedures and proper use of PPE is required.
