ELECTRO-MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

JOB SUMMARY

The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for the assembly, building, debug, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial automation equipment. This role requires excellent electrical and mechanical aptitude and teamwork skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be able to access all areas of machines, support equipment, and the facility to perform all repairs
  • Perform electrical and electro-mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and electronic equipment and instrumentation
  • Read, interpret, and update electrical blueprints, schematics, and flow diagrams
  • Perform associated mechanical repair and installations as required and assist mechanics with fault isolation and repair
  • Performs equipment repair on overhead cranes, conveyor, and automation equipment
  • Completes required inspection on overhead cranes and hoists
  • Follows Han-Tek record-keeping procedures
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and robots as assigned
  • Appropriately document all work performed (i.e., field service reports/mechanical & electrical print updates). Provide technical assistance to operators and supervisors on mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic problems
  • Travel to customer sites on occasion
  • Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, plus 2-5 years of experience as an electrical technician or similar role
  • Associates degree in a technical field or military certification is preferred
  • CDL preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - must interact regularly with groups such as manufacturing, and engineering, directly and via email and phone
  • Strong written communication skill
  • Ability to fabricate electrical harnesses, cables, and devices per wire schematics
  • Ability to use various handheld electrical tools
  • Ability to assemble and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience constructing and operating test stations used to test electrical assemblies, harnesses, and cables

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $58,000 to $94,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
